Bertha married Arthur Adam (Art) Heathwood (Refer to MBPS-0003-065 for a photograph of Arthur Heathwood) on 31 October 1925. Their son Lionel Arthur Heathwood was born on 28 April 1926 at Dayboro and daughter Deirdre Dorn Heathwood was born on 23 November 1928 also at Dayboro. Another child Gordon Arthur Heathwood was born and died on 19 December 1935. Bertha was an accomplished pianist and played for many of the local dances and other social events.
