TitleCr G. (Gary) ParsonsDescriptionCouncillor Gary Parsons was a Division 1 Councillor on the Caboolture Shire Council from October 2002 to March 2008. On 15 March 2008 was the local government elections (which was the amalgamation of Caboolture, Pine Rivers and Redcliffe Councils) to create the now Moreton Bay Regional Council. Cr Parsons was a Division 1 Councillor on the Moreton Bay Regional Council from 2008 to 2016 (did not seek re-election). In 1999-2000 Gary Parsons set a world record for the longest continuous run when he completed a 274 day trek around Australia. He ran a distance of 19,030 kilometres commencing on 25 April 1999. On 16 December 1999 he broke the previous world record of 17,071 km set by American Robert Sweetgall in 1983. He completed his run in January 2000.
