Red flowers
Red is abundant in nature, from flowers to fruits, rocks to gemstones. Amongst the tapestry of nature, red flowers stand out with their bold hues. Research has shown certain Australian native flowers have evolved their flower colour to red shades. This is to attract honeyeaters to pollinate them. Honeyeaters have a receptor for wavelengths in the violet range. They are the most important family of nectar-feeding birds in Australia.
