Description

The book Tracks and Times, A history of the Pine Rivers District was compiled by local residents to commemorate the centenary of Pine Rivers Shire and bicentenary of Australia.

Initial work on the history of the district was commenced in 1982 by John Armstrong who was unable to complete the work due to reasons of health. Council suggested Lawrence Smith who had been doing the architectural history of the shire, to assist with the planning and design of Hyde Village within North Pine Country Park, could be extended to become a complete history.

Lawrence Smith enlisted the help of a number of local residents.
