Our First Nations Elder Stories

The First Nations Elder Stories is a collection of oral history interviews conducted with local Elders of the Moreton Bay Region community to retain information and history for future generations, acknowledging the important role of local Elders in the community and their experiences.

The project is connected with the Libraries’ Welcoming Places initiative, drawing on and extending the Women of Inspiration project and Local Aboriginal Languages project.

Oral history is by its nature spoken memory. It is a personal opinion and is not intended to present the final verified or complete narrative of events.
