John Stevenson papers, 1989-2016

Collection contains newspapers clippings, photographs, ephemera and awards associated with John Stevenson's role as a Town Crier. John Stevenson was the Town Crier for numerous events carried out in the Redcliffe peninsula, including the Redcliffe Remembers festival and Australia Day events. The collection also include records associated with his Town Crier role at a number of other locations within Queensland. John Stevenson was a life member of The Ancient and Honourable Guild of Australian Town Criers, and was awarded the Presidential Award in 2016 for his service to this organisation.
